Introducing Leadership Development & Succession Strategist: HCI's Newest Certification
Our priority at HCI is ensuring that you always find something new to learn and use when you visit HCI.org. With that in mind, we are continuously conducting new research, seeking innovators in the HR space to keep you on the leading edge of trends and opportunities, and sharing that work with you through this website, our conferences, and our courses.
You may have already noticed many recent changes here at HCI. Our site has a new, updated look and feel, our events are becoming more tech-friendly and interactive with our new app, and we’ve even updated our learning communities to more accurately reflect the challenges you face in your organizations.
But that’s not all--we’ve been hard at work revitalizing our education offerings, too. Our newest certification course, Leadership Development & Succession Strategist, is now open for enrollment. Through research, focus groups, work with thought leaders and subject matter experts, and countless conversations with HCI learners, we’ve uncovered a few pressing concerns.
For many, the war for talent and skills rages on. Our world is changing faster than ever, and so are organizations. As a result of changing demographics in our workforce (think Baby Boomers retiring and millennials entering), increasing globalization, and the technology revolution, companies need leaders now and in the future who can manage change while executing on ever more complex business strategies.
According to research from HCI and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, only 40% of senior leaders report that their current high-potentials can meet future business needs. And, the speed at which we develop leaders needs to increase as well. 85% percent of strategic HR professionals agree that there is an urgent need to accelerate the development of their leaders. Our Leadership Development & Succession Strategist course addresses these challenges head on.
At HCI, we believe that organizations need an integrated approach to leadership development and succession management, one that aligns these efforts with overall business strategies and drives leadership readiness in high potentials across the organization. The LDSS course is designed to help HR leaders align leadership readiness strategies with business strategies and build organizational capability and sustainment for continuous leadership development for all critical roles.
During this highly interactive course, you will learn how to implement our seven-step model for leadership readiness, engage with case studies from leading organizations like Mastercard and GE, and walk away with the tools and resources necessary to enable practical and sustainable application in your workplace.
Like all of our courses, LDSS is HRCI/SHRM accredited. You can enroll for an in-person course in your local metro area, or take the course virtually with participants from around the world. Click here to learn more and enroll.
