With more companies than ever before leveraging artificial intelligence systems to support operations, sales, and marketing, and even HR and talent, employers need a workforce that can keep up. Traditional thinking says that the workforce is there to do a job, but they need to be force-fed when it comes to training and development.  
 
However, newer data show that workers actually crave the right development opportunities. In fact, learners were three times more likely to say their employer supported them appropriately in the last year if they also agreed that the company offered the right types of learning opportunities. But when we add in the increasing levels of AI, automation, and algorithms used in the workplace, where does that leave us as humans?
