Defining and Measuring Potential within your Organization: How to Get Started
What is potential? What does high-potential look like? Where do I start?
Over the years, psychologists have proposed and studied many models of potential. In this session, Megan Leasher, Ph.D., will first review the research to identify the common factors across these models, with the goal of giving you a starting point for defining and measuring potential within your organization.
Next, you will find out how to take these common factors to establish what potential looks like within your organization. Working together, we will build a list of personal, meaningful behaviors that capture key elements like your organization’s culture and values, leadership philosophies and what makes rockstar employees standout from the rest.
Finally, we will explore possibilities for transforming these behaviors into talent measurement tools that can be applied at key moments within the employee lifecycle. Whether acquiring new talent, onboarding new leaders, assessing and/or retaining talent, Dr. Leasher will inspire you with ideas for identifying and measuring potential.
This session will appeal to both research aficionados and practitioners alike. Join us for some easy takeaways to get you started!
