Jarrett Waddy is the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and Employee Resource Group (ERG) Development at AAA - The Auto Club Group, where he works closely with the Vice President and Chief DEI & Sustainability Officer, senior leadership, and various business units to execute the organization’s DE&I and corporate social responsibility goals. A driving force behind ACG’s DE&I strategy, Jarrett has spearheaded the establishment of nine ERGs across a 14-state region, cultivating an inclusive workplace culture that advances both employee empowerment and business alignment.
With over 15 years of experience spanning higher education, multicultural marketing, DE&I consultation, community engagement, business strategy, and talent development, Jarrett is deeply committed to building equitable opportunities and fostering diverse communities. His expertise has led to the development of impactful workforce programs designed to elevate underrepresented and disabled populations, providing essential pathways for career mobility, employability, and access to resources.
A Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) and an alumnus of the Challenge Detroit Leadership Fellowship, Jarrett brings a community-focused approach to his work. He serves on the boards of the Tri-City Community Development Corporation in Southwest Detroit and the Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association. Academically, he holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Administration and Development from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University.
Jarrett’s leadership in DE&I has been recognized through honors such as the DE&I Champion Award from the National Diversity Council in 2021 and the Emerging Executive Leaders Award from Diversity MBA Magazine in 2022. An engaging speaker, he has shared his expertise at several notable events, including the National Black Men in Leadership Summit, Global ERG Network Summit and the Seramount EmERGe Leadership Summit, where he has provided insights on ERG development and best practices in DE&I leadership.
