Dr. Jodi Berg is the fourth-generation president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Vita-Mix® Corporation (Vitamix), a 97-year-old, family-owned manufacturer of high-performance blenders for the consumer and foodservice commercial markets.

After holding leadership positions—including director of quality—for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, she joined Vitamix in 1997 with the directive to lead the company’s overseas expansion. Under her leadership, Vitamix experienced several years of double-digit percentage growth, and its products now are found in approximately 130 countries around the world.

Dr. Berg also transformed the organizational structure of the company and its corporate vision, mission and culture. She expanded distribution and defined and elevated the status of the brand, and continues to provide oversight and strategic focus for the company’s future.

Prior to her tenure as president and CEO, Dr. Berg served as director of international, household and commercial divisions for Vitamix. She was named executive vice president in 2007, president in 2009, and CEO in 2011.

Vitamix has earned a long list of awards under Dr. Berg, including being named Best in Class Overall beverage blender by Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine for the ninth consecutive year. Dr. Berg herself was recognized as the Jerry Noyce Executive Health Champion Award winner by the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO) in 2016, and as a national EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ in 2014.

Dr. Berg’s research on purpose and employee engagement has been published, and it earned her a Ph.D. in management from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
