Joelle LaGuerre is a human resource professional with over 15 years of experience in workplace learning and development. She currently serves as a freelance consultant and coach, most passionate about helping organizations plan for the strategic acquisition, engagement, and development of the workforce. A trainer and facilitator by trade, she is a dynamic presenter with an evident enthusiasm for both individual and organizational growth.

Joelle is originally from Miami, Florida, where she began her learning and development career in the non-profit sector. Since then, she has held program management and leadership roles in private industry, higher education, and the federal government. Most recently, she led the learning & development function at an AM Law 200 global law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Ms. LaGuerre holds a Bachelor of Arts in organizational psychology from Oakwood University as well as a graduate certificate in leadership development from George Washington University. Joelle considers herself a life-long learner, and over the past few years, she’s excitedly dived into the recently abundant research on well-being, especially as it relates to work and organizations.

With this newfound passion, Joelle is excited to report that, this fall, she will begin a graduate program in coaching psychology at Life University. Additionally, she is currently working with partners to launch PRO-YOU®, a consultancy that will aim to apply positive psychology principles to individual and organizational development challenges.
