Laurie Shumake has been with Western Union since 2015 and is the Head of Global Talent Development. In her role, Laurie provides leadership to talent teams across the N. America, Latin America, Europe/Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions with responsibility for several programs, including employee listening (WU Listens), talent succession/assessment, culture change, performance management (Guide.Perform.Succeed), and leader/manager development. Her background includes over 14 years in the human capital management field and a diverse range of experiences, from organizational effectiveness, org/culture transformation, global workforce strategy, talent development and business partnering; to project management and web development; to real estate and dog behavior modification. Laurie holds a M.S. in Organization Leadership from Regis University, a Certificate in Internal Coaching from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Biology from University of Colorado – Boulder.
