HR rarely gets the recognition it deserves. Nobody gets what we do unless they’ve done it.
Usually the only time we’re singled out is when things go wrong. When we do things as we’re supposed to in all our many roles, it’s not even noteworthy. HR magically makes everyone else’s jobs—and lives— easier. It’s always been this way. Companies need HR so much, although few people even know who’s making everything run smoothly behind the scenes.
